For wider lifestyle changes, join one of my online health coaching and movement courses. Next courses start on 1 April 2025.

We Do Pilates

Classes with me will help elevate your strength, balance, coordination and work at a level that is right for you.

My classes are mat based. No equipment or experience is needed. Just you, comfy clothes and room to move. Expect to shake a little, smile a lot and feel supported.

I'm Sarah, I teach one to one and group mat classes, in person around Haywards Heath and Hassocks and online.

My regular session provides an oasis of calm in my week, Sarah takes great care in preparing for the class by asking before each class what I’d like to work on.

What ensures I get the most from my hour is Sarah’s attention to detail. She responds to what she sees and makes adjustments accordingly – with capacity to do more or, occasionally, less than she had planned.

I know my wellbeing has improved thanks to Sarah and I am very grateful.

Hello, I'm Sarah Curgenven

What underpins all I do is my purpose to ensure everybody:

  • wakes up feeling enthusiastic about their day

  • is listened to and understood

  • has the opportunity to move in ways that make them feel good.

For me, the joy is in finding ways I can help move towards that vision and that everything I deliver and champion is evidence based and person centred. I've committed my life and career to doing that.

This has included:

  • supporting groups around the world on bikes, in walking boots, up mountains, at conferences, in offices, and in their homes—on chairs, mats, and in Zoom rooms

  • closing London's roads for people to walk, wheel and ride around the city car(e) free

  • leading major insights projects (Strength Messaging Insight, access to Rehabilitation, Chartered Society of Physiotherapy)

  • delivering national public health campaigns (Stronger My Way, Sport England)

  • forming strategies working with healthcare professionals and people living with long-term conditions (Moving with a Lung Condition, Asthma+Lung UK)

  • managing partnerships to ensure everyone has the Right to Rehabilitation (Chartered Society of Physiotherapy)

  • volunteering on nature walks for people living with dementia at Wakehurst

  • serving on the board as a Trustee at Active Sussex

  • training to be Pilates teacher with Body Control Pilates and teaching groups and 121s

  • qualifying as a health coach with Health Coaches Acadamy.

The fun for me is also learning from people who join me in trying to build this vision
